BLOG POST 7: Changes to my study programme

"Changes to my study programme"

Hello class, nice to see you one more week, I hope you are all well.

As I said in previous posts, I am in my second year of Geography, and the truth is this week's topic is quite interesting, however, I had never thought about it before.

Regarding to the infrastructure of the faculty, unfortunately I do not know what to say, because since I entered in 2020, (due to the pandemic) I have only gone this semester a couple of times to a single subject, in addition to a classroom, only I have occupied the bathrooms. So I have no experience with the faculty :(

The subjects, well until now... there have been some more interesting than others, some I enjoy and motivate me day by day to follow, and others became very complicated, however, I think that all are fundamental for geography, for the same, would not make modifications.

On the other hand, I consider the academic load excessive, and something that the teachers could take into consideration, even for the mental health of the students, this could be modified.

As for the years of duration of the major , they are 5, and compared to others careers they are few hahahaha. I don't think I have to say more about it.

In short, my experience is limited to online classes, so I don't think I have much to say. I hope the pandemic ends later for that to change.

  1. it's a pity you haven't been able to get to know the faculty yet, the only thing that disappoints me is the cafeteria.

  2. I thought that the academic standards were not so high in Geography, I was wrong. That´s sad.

  3. It is terrible to be studying without having known the place where you study. I, who have been studying at JGM since 2013, can tell you that the two years of zoom classes have left much to be desired.

  4. I agree that the academic load is too high. They should consider that.
We can learn more by having better mental health.
